Dos
- Smile and greet the locals by saying the phrase “Namaste” or “Tashidelek”
- Maintain a distance from people you see walking in front or behind you and walk with a group in the trek.
- Please refer to your guide if you are planning on trying something new while trekking
- Communicate with the guide about the things you might need next day as you can pack it in your pouch while rest is supported by the porter for your convenience.
- Make sure you donate at the donation boxes at monasteries around the trekking zone as they do not have ticket charges for the visitors around this trek.
- If you feel uneasy and uncomfortable make sure you inform your guide while ascending higher altitude as your health is the most important factor while ascending higher altitude.
Don’ts
- Make sure you respect the local culture and beliefs while it may be uneasy for you to believe it and do not condemn their beliefs and values
- Without former confirmation of the local people in the trek, do not take pictures of the local persons.
- Do not sense awkwardness when folks look at you; they are just anxious in tourists and have no ill objectives.
- Extravagant services are hard to find out during the trek while basic accommodations can only be provided seeking the strain of the geographical regions you are located at
- Make sure you do not destroy the floras and faunas during the hike; be in control about the environment around you.
- Make sure that you do not be liberal by providing money to people; such an act will only boost children and beggars from pleading money from supplementary visitors around the trek.
